Developed in partnership with Gibson Custom Shop, the EPIPHONE Inspired By Gibson Original Designer 1958 Flying V Korina White Pickguard solid body electric guitar (IGCKFVWANAGH1) is an attractive iteration of Gibson's legendary 1958 model.
Traditional construction with Korina body, glued Korina neck (Slim Taper profile), Laurier fingerboard, Burstbucker 2 (neck) and Burstbucker 3 (bridge) pickups, CTS potentiometers, Mallory capabilities. The Laurier fingerboard is a high-quality alternative to rosewood. With superior density and stability, its acoustic performance can be compared to that of Brazilian Rosewood. Since the change of management in 2018, the good news at Gibson has been one after the other: major investments to rehabilitate the production tool and offer an increased, homogeneous and constant production quality, pricing revised downwards, reworked ranges for greater readability, and icing on the cake quite a few new products.
Epiphone is following the same guideline, with a product range and nomenclature inspired by the Gibson range for greater consistency, and a number of new models produced in the USA.
