Str shape electric guitar
Unique copy bearing the serial number R136169. Net weight (without case): 3.65 kg.
Based on a "1960 Stratocaster Base Model" die, the FENDER Custom Shop Time Machine 1963 Stratocaster Super Heavy Relic Sparkle 3-Color Sunburst #R136169 (9238014328) is a reinterpretation of a typical Fender from the early 1960s. It ideally combines a majority of vintage features with more contemporary ones, including a pickup set consisting of Fender Custom Shop '69 (neck), Texas Special (center) and Fat 50's (bridge) and a "Strat Blender" circuit offering unusual combinations. For example, you can simultaneously activate all three neck pickups, or the neck and bridge pickups. Extremely interesting!
Sold with Fender Custom Shop hardshell case, strap, certificate of authenticity. Fender Telecaster, Stratocaster, Jazzmaster, Jaguar Precision Bass or Jazz Bass are legendary electric guitars that are an integral part of the history of amplified music, having contributed amply to its expansion and democratization.
The ideal situation would be to be the proud owner of an original example from the 50s or 60s, but the price of vintage instruments is so high that it's difficult for anyone to gain access to them. The Time Machine concept: dealers present at NAMM 1995 were totally blown away by the level of realism of the first two Relic models Fender presented to them that year. Even though they knew all there was to know about vintage guitars, they were fooled into thinking they were genuine Fender originals (a '51 Nocaster and a '56 Mary Kaye Stratocaster).
The early-aging process is now fully mastered, and accounts for the bulk of Custom Shop sales.
