Gibson Hummingbird Standard EC (Baggs HiFi DNA Preamp) - heritage cherry sunburst

Discover the Gibson Hummingbird, an iconic steel-string acoustic guitar that has left its mark on music history since 1960 and has won over many legendary artists.

Overview

The GIBSON Modern Collection Hummingbird Standard EC (MCSSHBECHFHCS) draws inspiration from the fundamental characteristics of the original Dreadnought Square Shoulder Hummingbird, while incorporating a Baggs HiFi DNA preamp for an enhanced listening experience.

High-Quality Craftsmanship for Unmatched Sound

The Gibson Hummingbird Standard stands out for its all-solid-wood construction, crafted from premium materials:

• Sitka spruce top
• Mahogany body and neck
• Indian rosewood fingerboard (20 frets)

An innovative pickup system for faithful sound reproduction

Equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system, the Hummingbird Standard uses two pickups positioned beneath the bridge plate. These pickups, which incorporate an active preamp, capture the vibrations of both the strings and the soundboard, delivering an extremely natural and faithful reproduction of the instrument’s sound.

Versatile and practical for all musicians

With its high-performance preamp and cutaway, the Gibson Hummingbird Standard proves to be a functional and versatile electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar, ideal for a variety of musical styles and playing techniques, whether fingerpicking or strumming.
