Gibson L-00 Standard (Baggs HiFi DNA Preamp) - vintage sunburst

The Gibson L-00, an iconic steel-string acoustic guitar, returns in a modernized form with the GIBSON Modern Collection LG-00 Standard, offering the perfect blend of traditional style and contemporary acoustic performance.

Overview

Produced from 1932 to 1945 in its original version, the Gibson L-00 is a compact steel-string acoustic guitar that won the hearts of musicians thanks to its ergonomic design and remarkably balanced tone. The GIBSON Modern Collection LG-00 Standard (MCSBL0HFVS) draws inspiration from this tradition while incorporating modern technologies, notably the Baggs HiFi DNA preamp for an unparalleled electro-acoustic experience.

High-quality materials for a rich and dynamic sound

This guitar is crafted with an all-solid-wood construction, delivering a warm tone and exceptional projection. Features include:

• Sitka spruce top

• Mahogany body and neck

• Rosewood fingerboard with 19 frets

These materials contribute to a clear, dynamic, and rich tone, ideal for styles such as fingerpicking, blues, or traditional folk.

Innovative recording technology for an authentic sound

The L-00 Standard stands out thanks to its exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system, which plays a crucial role in its sound quality. This system uses two sensors positioned beneath the bridge plate, allowing it to capture both the vibrations of the strings and those of the soundboard. This approach results in:

• Natural and dynamic recording

• A faithful reproduction of the instrument’s original acoustic character

Each pickup has its own active preamp, and the volume and tone controls are thoughtfully positioned on the inner rim of the soundhole, making them easy to use during performances.
