Folk guitar
The GIBSON Modern Collection J-45 Standard (MCRS45HCS) features a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides, with the fundamental sound of the original 1942 J-45 "Worhorse Guitar".
Bonus features include traditional hand-carved X-bracing, and a LR Baggs VTC pre-amp (volume and tone knobs in the soundhole) for functionality.
MaintenanceThe nitrocellulose varnish, as on vintage Gibson instruments, plays a major role in the instrument's 'breathing' thanks to its porous nature (vibrations are not muffled by the varnish). To avoid damaging your guitar, we recommend Hercules stands with specially formulated, non-abrasive foams; for maintenance, Gibson's Vintage Restoration Kit ensures effective cleaning and polishing without risk.
