Gibson J-45 Standard (Baggs HiFi DNA Preamp) - heritage cherry sunburst

The Gibson J-45, nicknamed “The Workhorse,” is a true icon in the world of acoustic music. Since its introduction in 1942, it has been praised for its iconic role in the American folk sound, combining warm and balanced tones, making it a timeless choice for musicians of all backgrounds.

Overview

The Gibson J-45 Standard (MCRS45HFHCS) is a Dreadnought Slope Shoulder acoustic guitar, built entirely from solid wood. Its construction combines traditional woods for exceptional tonal characteristics: a Sitka spruce top, a mahogany body and neck, and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. This classic combination achieves an ideal balance between projection, warmth, and clarity, with the midrange particularly emphasized.

An innovative recording system for a natural sound

Equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system, the J-45 Standard features two pickups located beneath the bridge plate. This cutting-edge technology captures not only the vibrations of the strings but also those of the soundboard, delivering an authentic and dynamic sound reproduction. In addition, each pickup is paired with an active preamp, featuring discreet volume and tone controls thoughtfully positioned along the inner edge of the soundhole.

Versatility Suited to All Musical Styles

The Gibson J-45 Standard is undoubtedly the ideal electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar. Its features and design make it an instrument capable of adapting to a wide variety of playing styles, from delicate fingerpicking to energetic strumming. This model will meet the expectations of even the most demanding artists, whatever their musical needs may be.
