Compressor, sustain & noise gate effect pedal
Say goodbye to unwanted noise and whistling once and for all. Decimator X pedals use state-of-the-art patented circuitry to deliver unrivalled noise reduction, effectively eliminating even the most stubborn background noise without affecting the natural sound of your instruments.
Enhanced adaptive tracking technology
Enjoy ultra-fast response times and ultra-smooth release thanks to enhanced tracking technology. With the latest patented variable integration time window technology, whether you're playing staccato, with or without pauses, or want a nice long release, this technology makes for a natural sound. X pedals provide a transparent, natural release that preserves the integrity of your sound, even during fast passages and complex playing.
Versatile routing options
Whether you're using a complex pedalboard setup or keeping it simple, X pedals offer versatile routing options to suit your needs. With flexible input and output configurations, you can easily integrate the pedals into any rig, ensuring maximum compatibility and convenience.
New Decimator X technology
Almost all noise reduction systems, including noise gates and downward expanders, use a fixed release time. Some include a user setting to adjust this release time according to the user's playing style. This means there's a major trade-off between playing fast staccato notes, which require a very fast release time to avoid the audible noise, commonly known as "breathing", that appears after each note when the expander releases, and the long, sustained notes used in jazz or blues. If a fast release time is used with long, sustained notes, a very annoying modulation sound is produced as the notes decay.
While ISP Technologies' Decimator has always used an adaptive release, this new technology further enhances the adaptive dynamics where the release time is more adaptive and eliminates any modulation with slow-release notes, adding incredible transparency.
With the desire to further improve this adaptive response, the new Decimator X technology now offers ultra-fast response with staccato notes but virtually eliminates jerky modulation with slow-release notes by providing an Integration Release Window. This innovation maintains a slow release response until note degradation exceeds the number of decibels required by the Integration Release Window. By setting this window wider than the ripple of the fastest release response, the release will follow only the negative peaks of the decaying audio envelope. By adaptively sliding the integration release window downwards according to the negative peaks of the audio signal, any annoying modulation is eliminated, providing the smoothest, most transparent release response possible.
