John Cruz, the legendary masterbuilder of the Fender Custom Shop from 1987 to 2020, established his own John Cruz Custom Guitars brand in 2021. His creations include such iconic instruments as the SRV No. 1, the Gary Moore Strat and the John Mayer Black One. This JOHN CRUZ CUSTOM GUITARS Crossville ST #JC00870522 is a work of art, the guitar of a lifetime. It's true to Cruz's credo that a Fender shouldn't be too light (he's never been convinced by an original vintage example weighing less than 3.5 kg). The more substantial Strats have his preference for Blues textures with a thicker, velvety, powerful, lively sound. This Crossville ST produces a very full, dense, warm sound with incredible response and clarity.
