The MARTIN & CO Custom Shop CS-D-C23036411#2814866 is a Dreadnought 14 fret steel-string acoustic guitar whose wood species were selected by the Star's Music team in the Custom Shop Martin workshop (in this case, set #105). It features a European spruce top, Adirondack spruce bracing, an Indian rosewood back and sides combo, and an Ebony fingerboard.
European Spruce has a distinctive character that connoisseurs will easily recognize. It combines the amplitude and power of Adirondack Spruce with the warmth of Cedar.

Abundant in the 1930s, when it was used extensively for Martin guitar soundboards,"Red Spruce" or "Adirondack" Spruce (Picea Rubens) enjoys enormous popularity. Denser than common Spruce, Adirondack Spruce is exceptionally responsive. Indian Rosewood is definitely one of the most traditional and popular woods. It has the same fundamental character as mahogany, with a strong midrange (albeit more subdued), but with a much wider range of frequencies at the top and bottom of the spectrum.
