The MARTIN & CO Custom Shop CS-OM-C22025678 Engelmann/Cocobolo #2736832 is an Orchestra Model 14 fret steel-string acoustic guitar, with Engelmann spruce top, Cocobolo back and sides, and Ebony fingerboard (all woods are of course solid and selected with the greatest intransigence for their acoustic and aesthetic qualities).
An exceptional model, perfectly balanced across the entire frequency spectrum, with outstanding responsiveness. Englemann is a superior quality spruce. Less dense and paler than Sitka or Adirondack, it generates significantly more midrange, a softer attack and remarkable clarity, giving the guitar a more vintage sound. Cocobolo is a rosewood from the forests of Central America. It is prized for its attractive appearance and generous tonal spectrum, giving the guitars of which it is made a remarkable flexibility of sound and style.
