The PEAVEY Legacy Series Session LTD 400 Preamp pedal is a reproduction of the circuit from the vintage 1974 Peavey Session 400 Limited amp, renowned for its transparent, pristine tones. Developed in collaboration with steel guitar legends such as Curly Chalker and Buddy Emmons, this amp has become a benchmark for musicians seeking pure, crystal-clear, dynamic clean tones.
The Session LTD 400 has been designed as a true preamp that will allow you to be the heart of your sound, the ideal platform for guitarists or pedal-steel players in Country, Blues and Rock. It can be used as an alternate channel or frequency boost to stimulate the input of an amp directly into its instrument input, or in the return of its effects loop. The "Sens" control adjusts the level and adds thickness to a signal that lacks body. The three-band equalization (Low, Mid, High) covers most of the frequency spectrum, but can be supported by the two-position Mid-Shift selector to adjust the midrange, and the presence potentiometer to add clarity as needed. Although the Session LTD 400 runs on a 9V power supply or battery, the circuit voltage is brought up to 25V, giving the circuit the amplitude and dynamics of a genuine amp. This feature will be of great interest to musicians who like to modulate tones by playing with their playing dynamics, and the instrument's volume potentiometer.
