Thanks to TransTube technology, the PEAVEY Legacy Series VTM Preamp pedal reproduces the vintage tones of the Peavey VTM™ 60/120 amplifiers released in 1987. If you're a fan of intense Rock, Hard-Rock, Thrash or old-school Metal, rhythmic or solo, there's a good chance you'll fall under the spell of this effect. The Peavey VTM has therefore been designed as a true preamp that will allow you to be the heart of your sound, or will complement the channels of your amp.
The Pre Gain and Post Gain controls allow you to adjust gain and texture (attack, compression) respectively, as well as output level to balance clean and distorted volumes. An eight-preset DIP switch, combined with a highly effective three-band EQ, allows you to finely sculpt tones to suit your guitar and rig.
Although the VTM runs on a 9V power supply or battery, the circuit voltage is brought up to 24V, giving the circuit the amplitude and dynamics of a genuine amp. Combined with TransTube technology, this feature will be of great interest to guitarists who like to modulate tones by playing with their playing dynamics, and the instrument's volume potentiometer.
