The luthiery combines an American Alder body, a bolt-on neck in Maple and a Morado fingerboard (set with 21 frets). A traditional platform that generates a very homogeneous, dense and responsive acoustic base, with thick, punchy lows, present mids and clear, dynamic highs.
The Morado (Pau Ferro) that forms the fingerboard is a wood from the forests of Brazil and Bolivia. Its high density creates a hybrid sound between rosewood and maple. The Sadowski MetroLine 22-Fret Will Lee features passive Sadowsky J-Style single-coil pickups for warm, wonderfully expressive tones.
The Sadowski Custom Will Lee active preamp is both comprehensive and intuitive, featuring a switchable mid-boost circuit (500 Hz or 800 Hz options) and a VTC (Vintage Tone Control) filter that effectively supports traditional tone controls by attenuating high frequencies to give your tones an authentic vintage temperament (a bit like having a passive bass). The VTC potentiometer is of the push/pull type, allowing the circuit to be deactivated for an even more organic sound.
