Electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar, Grand Auditorium cutaway style, made in Mexico. Offered at a very attractive price, the TAYLOR 14ce (Natural Matte) will delight musicians looking for a versatile instrument that's fun to play, functional and of high quality. The combination of torrefied Sitka Spruce top, Sapele (laminated) body and Ebony fingerboard produces tones balanced between warmth and clarity, dense and dynamic. A Fishman Sonitone GT-2 preamp facilitates recording on stage or in the studio. The Grand Auditorium size (owned by Taylor since 1994) is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 Classic Classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is logically less pronounced, but on the other hand its amplification is facilitated, with fewer feedback problems. The Sapele is a perfect substitute for the Mahogany, both in appearance and sound, although considerably more crystalline due to its considerably greater rigidity.
