Taylor 214ce-K DLX Special Edition - honeyburst

The TAYLOR 214ce-K DLX Special Edition (Honey Sunburst Gloss) electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar, Grand Auditorium cutaway style, limited edition, made in Mexico, features a solid torrefied Sitka Spruce top, a laminated Hawaiian Koa back and side duo, a neo-tropical Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and Expression System ES2 preamp.
Very elegant and pleasant to play, it's an all-round acoustic with remarkable frequency balance and enough natural projection for finger-pickers.

Koa is a tropical hardwood endemic to the island of Hawaii. It is a dense wood that combines the rich midrange of Mahogany with the brilliance of Maple. Instruments crafted from Koa will inevitably improve with years of use, gaining in warmth, smoothness and openness. The Grand Auditorium (owned by Taylor since 1994) is the consensus size. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 Classic Classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is logically less pronounced, but on the other hand its amplification is easier, with fewer feedback problems.

Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially reworked circuit, the Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
