The TAYLOR 327e steel-string acoustic guitar is a Grand Pacific / Dreadnought Round Shoulder equipped with a solid tropical mahogany top (the density of this variety gives it a responsiveness close to that of spruce), a solid Tasmanian Blackwood back and side duo, an Ebony fingerboard and V-Class bracing, which represents a landmark development in the field of acoustic guitars.
These innovative bracings, developed by master luthier Andy Powers, give the instrument better projection, tonal balance, intonation and incredible sustain. It's a guitar that's as pleasing to listen to as it is to play, warm and dynamic, and particularly versatile. Blackwood is an Acacia offering tones somewhere between Hawaiian Koa, Mahogany and, to a lesser extent, Indian Rosewood (for subtle brilliance). Its clear, dynamic and warm midrange gives the instrument a remarkable presence, and it has the added virtue of being harvested in protected forests.Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially redesigned circuit, Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
