Produced in 1974 units worldwide, the TAYLOR 50th Anniversary AD14ce-SB LTD steel-string acoustic guitar combines elements of the American Dream series with Taylor's signature Grand Auditorium body style, making it as versatile, comfortable and attractive as ever.
Featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top, a solid Walnut back and side duo, an Eucalyptus fingerboard and an Expression System ES2 preamp, Sitka Spruce is the traditional choice for the vast majority of acoustic guitars. Thanks to a perfect balance between robustness and elasticity, Sitka generates a direct, punchy sound with impeccable articulation. In a compromise between Rosewood, Mahogany and Maple, Walnut has a well-balanced bass/midrange/treble frequency balance, combined with remarkable clarity. Its bass is generous and precise, its midrange dense and its treble fleshy, while the high density and hardness of Eucalyptus exacerbates the clarity of every note. What's more, it's extremely pleasant to the touch and has a most attractive appearance. If Taylor has chosen this species as an alternative to Ebony, we can be confident: it benefits from the Taylor V-Class dams, which represent a landmark development in the field of acoustic guitar. These innovative bracings, developed by master luthier Andy Powers, give the instrument improved projection, tonal balance, optimal intonation and incredible sustain. The Grand Auditorium or 000 size is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 Classical Classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is logically less pronounced, but on the other hand its amplification is easier, with fewer feedback problems.

Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially reworked circuit, the Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
