Taylor 614CE Builder's Edition V-Class - natural top & wild honey burst

The TAYLOR 614CE Builder's Edition (Natural Top with Wild Honey Burst Back/Sides) is a Grand Auditorium-sized electro-acoustic guitar with cutaway, solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Big Leaf Maple body. It is equipped with a Taylor Expression System 2 preamp and comes in a Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Brown case.
Combining playing comfort and aesthetic refinement, the Builder's Edition series benefits from a rigorous wood selection by Taylor's master luthiers. The combination of spruce and maple provides a transparency that reflects the musician's personality, offering brilliant, precise tones, prompt attack and rapid decay of the notes. Refinements on this guitar include a chamfered body contour, a beveled armrest, a profiled cutaway with finger rest, Gotoh 510 tuning machines and a "silent" satin finish.

The V-Class bracing is a landmark acoustic guitar innovation introduced by Taylor Guitars in 2018. These innovative bracings, developed by master luthier Andy Powers give the instrument better projection, tonal balance, intonation and incredible sustain. The Grand Auditorium or 000 size is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 classic style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is noticeably less pronounced, but on the other hand, amplification is facilitated, with a clear attenuation of feedback/larsen problems.

In order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of its acoustic guitars, Taylor took several years to develop the Expression System ES2, but the results live up to expectations. Thanks to the piezo sensors installed in the fork below the nut, in the bridge and a significantly reworked circuit, the Expression System 2 reproduces the natural sound of the instrument with even greater responsiveness, dynamics and warmth.
