Folk guitar

The refinement of the Builder's Edition family is now extended to model 324ce with the TAYLOR Builder's Edition 324ce steel-string acoustic guitar. Created by master luthier Andy Powers, Builder's Edition is a new concept in refinement and playing comfort.

This model is a Grand Auditorium with a solid tropical mahogany top, solid "Urban Ash" back and sides, Ebony fingerboard, and new V-Class bracing for improved projection, tonal balance, intonation and sustain.
It's a guitar that's as pleasing to listen to as it is to play, warm and dynamic, with powerful lows and clear mids and highs. Urban Ash" is a local wood collected in the towns of Southern California, whose tonal characteristics are very close to those of high-end Mahogany.
Combined with the table's tropical mahogany, this formidable Grand Auditorium boasts particularly clear, generous mids, crystalline highs and full basses that will delight strummers and finger-pickers alike. The Grand Auditorium or 000 gauge is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is noticeably less pronounced, but on the other hand, amplification is made easier, with a clear attenuation of feedback/larsen problems. The refinements on this guitar include a chamfered body contour, a beveled armrest, a profiled cutaway with finger rest, Gotoh 510 tuning machines and a "silent" satin finish.

Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, Taylor Guitars took several years to develop the Expression System (ES) 2. Thanks to new piezo sensors and a substantially redesigned circuit, the Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness, dynamics and warmth.
