Folk guitar
Enhanced by a beautiful limited-edition finish, the TAYLOR GS Mini-e Special Edition Olive is a small-sized (short 23.5" scale), beautifully crafted electro-acoustic folk guitar.
It can be considered as a travel instrument for the experienced musician, or as a high-quality, ergonomic study guitar for the beginner who wishes to practice in the best conditions.
It will surprise you with its tonal balance, projection and versatility (suitable for both finger-picking and strumming).
Its luthiery combines a solid roasted Sitka Spruce top, a laminated Sapele back and sides, a Mahogany neck and a Crelicam Ebony fingerboard.
This combination produces sounds that are both warm and clear, with thick, precise bass, rich midrange and generous treble. Its acoustic volume is remarkable considering its modest dimensions.
The Ebony fingerboard noticeably and musically compresses the sound, a parameter that may prove interesting in certain musical contexts.
In addition to giving the wood an attractive patina, the torrefaction process improves tuning stability, sustain, clarity and resonance.
Incorporating elements of the popular Taylor Expression System 2, the Taylor ES-B preamp (with built-in tuner) is as unobtrusive as it is intuitive and efficient, faithfully reproducing the instrument's natural tones. You can adjust the volume and three equalization bands (bass, midrange, treble). An LED indicator shows how low the battery is, lighting up when it reaches 4.5 volts.
