The TAYLOR 400 Series Next Generation 412ce is an evolution of the very popular Taylor Grand Auditorium, enhanced by three important improvements introduced in the Taylor 2026 catalog: - Long-Tenon Action Control Neck - Scalloped V-Class Bracing - Claria System Acoustic Electronics The "Long-Tenon Action Control Neck" design optimizes the connection between neck and body, adding warmth and depth to the sound. From a purely technical point of view, it also facilitates string height adjustment. The new "Scalloped V-Class Bracing" bracing design has a very positive impact on the sound of the instrument, without altering the renowned balance and projection of the original V-Class system. Low frequencies are even warmer and more generous, and the resonance of open strings is exacerbated.
The "Claria System Acoustic Electronics" circuit, developed in partnership with numerous leading artists and sound engineers, certainly represents the future of recording via the piezo system under the nut. An integrated proprietary preamp and Volume / Tone and Mid-Contour controls make it possible to control the harshness of traditional piezos. You can be sure of consistent, balanced sound in all circumstances.
The Grand Concert template was customized by Taylor in 1984 to meet the demands of finger-pickers looking for an alternative to the darker, expansive sounds of Dreadnought or Jumbo formats.
The Grand Concert is a highly accessible and endearing instrument, all the more so as its scale is generally lowered to further optimize grip, complex chords and phrasing. With these innovations and the same impeccable craftsmanship (Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood body), the TAYLOR Next Generation 412ce is a remarkable electro-acoustic guitar. This 412ce, a true acoustic Swiss Army knife with the projection and amplitude characteristic of the Spruce/Palissander combination, demonstrates once again that Bob Taylor and his team are at the top of their game, but don't forget musicians who don't have the budget for a Custom Shop grade instrument.
