Folk guitar
The BOURGEOIS Touchstone Hawaiian Country Boy Dreadnought is a top-quality steel-string acoustic guitar made from the finest solid woods.
The exceptional quality of Bourgeois acoustic guitars is due in particular to the traditional method of soundboard selection ("hand-voicing") in which Dana Bourgeois is a world-renowned specialist. This know-how guarantees optimal resonance, clarity and depth of each note, the hallmarks of the tonal identity of Bourgeois guitars.
Once the tops have been crafted in the Bourgeois workshops in Lewiston (Maine, USA) and validated by Dana himself, they are vacuum-packed and sent to the Eastman factory, where a group of luthiers trained in the Bourgeois philosophy will assemble the instruments with undeniable expertise.
This Touchstone Hawaiian Country Boy features a Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top, Adirondack Spruce bracing, a Hawaiian Koa back/side combo, a Mahogany neck and an Ebony fingerboard. A superb instrument offering great flexibility of sound, as effective in finger-picking as in strumming, Epicea Bearclaw sublimates the characteristics of classic Spruce thanks to its superior rigidity.
