The magic of the Touchstone Series comes from Dana’s renown system of hand-voicing. Over the last 50 years he has refined this old-world technique and is now recognized worldwide as a foremost authority on guitar-top voicing.
After Touchstone tops are approved by Dana, they are vacuum sealed and shipped to Eastman’s workshop where a select group of Eastman’s finest luthiers, carefully trained in Bourgeois’ tonal philosophy and construction methodology integrate the tops into Dana’s designs, bringing each guitar to life.

By merging the warmth of Island Koa with the sparkle of winter spruce, the BOURGEOIS Touchstone Hawaiian Country Boy OM acoustic Orchestra Model has been designed to respond equally well to delicate fingerpicking and lively strumming.
Salvaged from the ancient Koa forests of the Big Island of Hawaii, the Koa backs and sides sound as good as they look, offering a rich midrange and a touch of island warmth that will deepen over time. Dana Bourgeois has personally selected each old-growth Bearclaw Sitka Spruce top in this series. Chosen for their bright and responsive tap tones, each one was hand-voiced at Dana’s small workshop in Maine.
