Gibson J-45 Standard (Baggs HiFi DNA Preamp) - goldtop

The Gibson J-45, nicknamed "The Workhorse," is an icon of the acoustic steel-string guitar, instantly recognizable for its pivotal role in the history of American folk music.

Overview

Introduced in 1942, the Gibson J-45 has become one of the most sought-after acoustic guitars in the world. With its Dreadnought Slope Shoulder body shape, it has helped shape the sound of folk music, leaving its mark on countless iconic albums. Its warm, expressive, and balanced tones give it a timeless character, making it a top choice among musicians.

Solid-wood construction for exceptional sound

The GIBSON Modern Collection J-45 Standard (MCRS45HFGT) features an all-solid-wood construction, harmoniously blending traditional woods. Its key features include:

• A Sitka spruce top for optimal resonance.
• Mahogany body and neck, offering warmth and projection.
• Rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets for enhanced playability.

This combination ensures an excellent balance between projection, warmth, and clarity, with perfectly defined midrange tones.

Advanced electronics for a sound close to that of an acoustic guitar

The Gibson J-45 Standard features the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system, which revolutionizes the way sound is captured. This system uses two pickups positioned under the bridge plate, replacing the traditional piezo pickup. These sensors distinctly capture the vibrations of the strings and the soundboard, delivering an even more natural and dynamic sound. Each sensor is equipped with its own active preamp, with volume and tone controls discreetly integrated into the soundhole.

A Versatile Choice for All Musicians

The Gibson J-45 Standard stands out for its versatility, making it ideal for any type of musician, whether for delicate fingerpicking or energetic strumming. Its adaptability makes it an essential electro-acoustic guitar for a variety of musical styles.
