The KARDIAN Nitroglycerin ADD CBF C3H5N3O9 Overdrive / Distortion is an amp-like overdrive pedal of the highest order, sounding basically like a vintage Fender Champ combo on steroids. Handcrafted with ostensible meticulousness, the Nitroglycerin C3H5N3O9 is an authentic high-performance boutique pedal: seven diodes, top-level OPamp, oversized Jantzen Audio capacitor, Amtrans AMRG resistors (1% tolerance, non-magnetic, brass tips, gold-plated oxygen-free copper outputs), JFET input stage based on Texas instrument opamp, etc....The main controls (Volume, Drive, Treble, Bass) and additional controls (Blend, Clean-LPF, Clean-Vol) are equally responsive and efficient, giving the processor great flexibility. The ADD CBF mode lets you fine-tune the low end of the spectrum (while optimizing the dynamics of the signal not processed by a parallel mixer), and Nitroglycerin can be pushed to the limit, becoming raging yet very musical.
