The MARTIN & CO Custom Shop CS-OM-C23035486 #2819080 is an Orchestra Model-style steel-string acoustic guitar whose wood species were selected by the Star's Music team in the Custom Shop Martin workshops. It features a premium Sitka Spruce top and bracing, a Ziricote back and sides combo, and an Ebony fingerboard.

Thanks to a perfect balance between robustness and elasticity, Sitka generates a direct, punchy sound with impeccable articulation. These characteristics give Sitka great flexibility of sound and adaptability to virtually any playing style: strumming, flatpicking or fingerpicking. The bracing is made of Adirondack spruce. Abundant in the 1930s, when it was used extensively for Martin guitar soundboards,"Red Spruce" or "Adirondack" spruce (Picea Rubens) enjoys enormous popularity. More dense than common spruce, Adirondack spruce is exceptionally responsive. Ziricote is a species whose acoustic characteristics combine those of Indian Rosewood and Macassar Ebony. It has an enveloping natural reverberation of the finest effect.
