Made from solid woods of absolute quality (Adirondack Spruce VTS* top, Adirondack Spruce VTS forward shifted hand-scaled X bracing, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard), the MARTIN GUITAR D-18 Authentic 1937 Aged steel-string acoustic guitar is the ultimate replica of the eponymous original D-18.
Its Aged finish gives it the appearance of an instrument that would have been played for decades. The soundboard and bracing in Adirondack Spruce have been subjected to the exclusive VTS (Vintage Tone System) torrefaction process, giving them the appearance and acoustic behavior of multi-decadal woods. Sold in a Martin hardshell case.
