With its all-solid-wood construction (Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides, Ebony fingerboard), the MARTIN Standard D-18 (Satin Natural) steel-string acoustic guitar is a reinterpretation of the original D-18, a benchmark for most of today's Dreadnought guitars. Its compromise between clarity, warmth and expressiveness is perfect, and the forward-shifted X scalloping bracing is no stranger to superb responsiveness. Their design guarantees both robustness and optimal soundboard vibration.
The neck has a particularly user-friendly "Modified Low Oval w/ High-Performance Taper" profile. It's slimmer than traditional necks, and easy to get to grips with.
