Orange MK Ultra Marcus King Signature

Created in close collaboration with Grammy-nominated guitar prodigy and songwriter Marcus King, the MK Ultra is the first amp head designed and built by Orange USA. Produced with the finest components on the market, right down to the USA-made Heyboer transformer, this hand-wired 30-watt head embodies the perfect marriage of classic American and British tones. Make no mistake, this head is not a copy of an existing model with minor modifications. The MK Ultra features an internal circuit tuned to perfection that not only responds to the guitar's volume and tone, but also tunes the pedals superbly and molds them to the tone, rather than simply putting them on top. The head is pulled by a pair of 12AX7 preamp tubes which feed a power amp equipped with 2 6L6GC tubes with automatic polarization (cathode bias). This choice of tubes is a first for Orange, and brings out all the harmonics and sensitivities necessary for Marcus King's music. Although this is a unique signature model, musicians from all horizons will be able to find their tone and sound. From country to blues, classic rock to jazz fusion and everything in between, the possibilities of this three-knob control head are exceptional.
