The PEAVEY Legacy Series Rock Master Preamp pedal reproduces the vintage tones of the Ultra channel of the Peavey Rock Master amplifier released in the 1990's. If you're a fan of intense Rock, Hard-Rock, Thrash or old-school Metal, rhythmic or solo, you're likely to fall under the spell of its dense, generous and nervous tones.
The Peavey Rock Master has been designed as a true preamp, allowing you to be the heart of your sound, or to complement the channels of your amp. Pre Gain and Post Gain controls allow you to adjust gain and texture (attack, compression) respectively, as well as output level to balance clean and distorted volumes. A highly effective three-band EQ allows you to sculpt tones with great precision according to your guitar and rig. This is complemented by a switch to activate midrange filtering for even greater flexibility.
Although the Rock Master Preamp runs on a 9V power supply or battery, the circuit voltage is boosted to 30V, giving the circuit the amplitude and dynamics of a genuine amp. Combined with TransTube technology, this feature will be of great interest to guitarists who like to modulate tones by playing with their playing dynamics, and/or the instrument's volume potentiometer.
