The TAYLOR 150ce 12-String steel-string acoustic guitar is an electro-acoustic twelve-string dreadnought featuring a solid Sitka Spruce top, laminated Sapele body, Ebony fingerboard and Taylor ES2 Preamp. Sitka Spruce is the traditional choice for the vast majority of acoustic guitars. Thanks to a perfect balance between robustness and elasticity, Sitka generates a direct, punchy sound with impeccable articulation. These characteristics give this species great flexibility of sound and adaptability to virtually any playing style: strumming, flatpicking or fingerpicking. Sapele is a perfect substitute for mahogany, both in appearance and sound, although it is noticeably more crystalline due to its slightly greater hardness. The Taylor Expression System 2 pre-amp is the fruit of many months of research, with a remarkable end result. Few pre-amplifiers are able to convey the intrinsic temperament and subtlety of an acoustic guitar with such rigor and finesse. The ES-2 is composed of three elements combining a dynamic sensor on the soundboard, another sensor located under the fingerboard, and finally a pre-amp whose voicing has been meticulously calibrated.
