Taylor 214ce-K DLX - natural

The TAYLOR 214ce-K DLX steel-string acoustic guitar is a Grand Auditorium cutaway with a solid Sitka spruce top, laminated Koa body and Taylor ES2 pre-amp. Building on all the advantages of the 214ce DLX, the 214ce-K DLX features laminated Hawaiian Koa for back and sides. The addition of Koa's natural warmth and brilliance, which combine perfectly with the solid Sitka Spruce top, gives the instrument a very balanced response that will suit almost any musical application.

The Grand Auditorium or 000 size is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is noticeably less pronounced, but on the other hand, amplification is facilitated, with a clear attenuation of feedback problems. In order to faithfully retranscribe the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp. Thanks to new transducers and a significantly reworked circuit, the Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
