Folk guitar

Inspired by the "flat-top" acoustic guitars of the 1930s and 1940s, the models in the Gold Label Collection embody a new concept for Taylor. The instruments in this new series combine three elements to create a magnificent traditional sound: a new Super Auditorium cutaway, a new variant of the remarkable V-Class Bracing and a new "long-tenon" neck joint.

- the proportions of the Super Auditorium are an evolution of the Taylor Grand Auditorium, with a significantly longer body and wider lower section.
- the "Fanned V-Class" bracing is an evolution of the V-Class introduced in 2018 and designed by master luthier Andy Powers. The best of both worlds, hybridizing the traditional and the modern - the "long-tenon" neck joint exacerbates the resonance of low frequencies. The sound performance of the Gold Label des performances is absolutely incredible. With great richness and definition, these guitars have the particularity of producing a volume proportional to the intensity of the playing dynamics, while naturally and musically compressing the signal as it increases. Notes played softly are magnified by the guitar with surprising warmth and volume.

Made from solid, top-grade woods, the first Gold Label models are available in two configurations: torrefied Sitka spruce top with Honduras rosewood back and sides, or torrefied Sitka spruce top with figured Hawaiian Koa back and sides. Koa is a tropical hardwood endemic to the island of Hawaii. It's a dense wood that combines the rich midrange of Mahogany with the brilliance of Maple. Instruments made from Koa will inevitably improve with years of use, gaining in warmth, smoothness and openness, and you'll have no trouble recording on stage or in the studio thanks to the onboard LR Baggs Element VTC system. Two discreet knobs on the inner edge of the soundhole let you adjust volume and tone.

With the TAYLOR Gold Label Collection 814e Koa (Natural) electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar, the plumage matches the ramage! Both sober and refined, it has undeniable class. Sold with Taylor Deluxe hardshell case (British Cocoa Vinyl Exterior, Graphite Interior).
