Perfectly machined in Germany in the Warwick workshops, the SADOWSKY MetroLine 24-Fret Modern Bass, Swamp Ash Body, Maple Fingerboard, 4-String (SML24MS4 32 ASH FR) reinterprets to perfection a benchmark American solidbody electric bass.

A bass of choice particularly suited to Pop-Rock, Funk, R&B registers, it features a solid body chambered "Swamp Ash" body, with carefully optimized cavity positioning to reduce weight without compromising acoustic performance. The bolt-on neck and fingerboard (standard 34" scale) are made of American Maple. This Ash/Maple combination produces a punchy sound, firm in the lower register, with good attack and clarity.
The 24 frets allow a wider playing range than on a vintage model usually equipped with 21 frets.
With a C-shaped neck profile (38.5 mm wide at the nut) and a modern 12" radius, grip will be a breeze. This beautiful lutherie is the perfect platform for Sadowsky Passive Soapbar pickups. Thick and responsive, they offer a balanced reproduction of the frequency spectrum, with dense lows, present but unaggressive mids and muffled, airy highs. The MetroLine 24-Fret Modern Bass features custom two-band active electronics. The VTC (Vintage Tone Control) filter effectively supports the traditional bass and treble controls, attenuating the high frequencies and giving an authentic vintage temperament to your tones (a bit like having a passive bass).

The fittings live up to this demanding specification, with a Sadowsky Quick String Release bridge, Sadowsky Light Open Gear tuning machines and a Sadowsky Just-A-Nut III nut guaranteeing not only perfect tuning but also optimal vibration transfer.
