Taylor 224ce Plus Special Edition - trans red

Limited-edition electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic folk guitar, Grand Auditorium cutaway style, made in Mexico. The TAYLOR 224ce Plus Special Edition (Trans Red) features a solid mahogany top, laminated Sapele back and sides, mahogany neck, Ebony fingerboard and Expression System ES2 preamp. The Grand Auditorium template (Taylor proprietary since 1994) is the consensus. A hybrid between the Grand Concert (00 Classic Classical style) and the indispensable Dreadnought, it is considerably more compact than the latter, which obviously makes for more pleasant ergonomics. Its acoustic amplitude is logically less pronounced, but on the other hand its amplification is facilitated, with fewer feedback problems. The Sapele is a perfect substitute for the Mahogany, both in appearance and sound, although considerably more crystalline due to its considerably greater rigidity.

Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially reworked circuit, Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
