Folk guitar
Three-time GRAMMY® Award winner Ben Harper is one of the world's most expressive artists. Throughout his decades-long career, with 18 albums to his credit and collaborations with such luminaries as Taj Mahal, Mavis Staples and Charlie Musselwhite, the American musician has developed an intimate connection with the acoustic guitar, becoming an authority on folk, blues, gospel, soul, rock and slide guitar.
Inspired by the "flat-top" acoustic guitars of the 1930s and 1940s, the models in the Gold Label Collection embody a new concept for Taylor. The instruments in this new series combine three elements to create a magnificent traditional sound: a new variant of the remarkable V-Class Bracing and a "long-tenon" neck joint.
- the "Fanned V-Class" bracing is an evolution of the V-Class introduced in 2018 and designed by master luthier Andy Powers. The best of both worlds, hybridizing the traditional and the modern - the "long-tenon" neck joint exacerbates low-frequency resonance. Gold Label sound performance is absolutely incredible. With great richness and definition, these guitars produce a volume proportional to the intensity of the playing dynamics, while naturally and musically compressing the signal. Notes played softly are magnified by the guitar with surprising warmth and subtlety.
The TAYLOR Ben Harper Gold Label 512e is a modified Grand Concert, significantly thicker, providing considerably more warmth and depth of low frequencies, with a wider dynamic range, and distinguished by the use of Honduras Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. The properties of this species encourage the transfer of vibrations to the soundboard, making it all the more responsive to the musician's dynamics. You'll have no trouble recording on stage or in the studio thanks to the Taylor Claria system.
With the TAYLOR Ben Harper Gold Label 512e electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar (torrefied Sitka spruce top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, Honduras rosewood fingerboard and bridge), the plumage matches the ramage! An elegant, high-performance Grand Concert.
Sold with Taylor Deluxe hardshell case (British Cocoa Vinyl Exterior, Graphite Interior).
