The TAYLOR Sunset Blvd 114ce SEB is an electro-acoustic Grand Auditorium-style steel-string acoustic guitar with cutaway, featuring a solid torrefied Sitka Spruce top, laminated Sapele body and Ebony fingerboard.
The Grand Auditorium shape has been Taylor's flagship since 1994, and is undoubtedly the brand's most popular model. A true Swiss Army knife for the guitarist, this intermediate size between Grand Concert and Dreadnought is both extremely comfortable and acoustically versatile. Sitka spruce is the traditional choice for the vast majority of acoustic guitars. Thanks to a perfect balance between robustness and elasticity, Sitka generates a direct, punchy sound with impeccable articulation. These characteristics give Sitka great tonal flexibility and adaptability to virtually any style of playing: strumming, flatpicking or fingerpicking. In addition to giving the wood a beautiful patina, the torrefaction process improves tuning stability, sustain, clarity and resonance. Sapele is a perfect substitute for Mahogany, both in appearance and sound, although it is noticeably more crystalline due to its slightly greater hardness.

Taylor Expression System 2 Preamp: in order to faithfully reproduce the amplitude and fundamental character of their acoustics, it took Taylor several years to develop the Expression System (ES). Thanks to new sensors and a substantially reworked circuit, Expression System 2 offers even greater responsiveness and dynamics, and according to Taylor, around 25% more warmth.
