The MARTIN & CO Custom Shop Dreadnought CS-D-C22025672 #2736837 is a 14-fret Dreadnought-style steel-string acoustic guitar, with Adirondack Spruce top, Guatemalan Rosewood back and sides, and Ebony fingerboard (all woods are of course solid and selected with the greatest intransigence for their acoustic and aesthetic qualities).
Adirondack is one of the most sought-after varieties of spruce. Its clarity and projection are unquestionably superior to those of traditional Sitka Spruce, with hushed midrange. Guatemalan Rosewood has tonal qualities close to those of Brazilian Rosewood, whose exploitation has unfortunately been banned by the CITES organization. It is considered one of the most prestigious species, offering warm, rich and powerful tones.
