The MARTIN & CO Custom Shop Dreadnought CS-D-C22054357 #2698129 is a 14-fret Dreadnought-style steel-string acoustic guitar, with Adirondack spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and Ebony fingerboard (all woods are of course solid and selected with the greatest intransigence for their acoustic and aesthetic qualities).
Adirondack is one of the most sought-after varieties of spruce. Its clarity and projection are unquestionably superior to those of traditional Sitka Spruce, with muffled midrange. Indian Rosewood is definitely one of the most popular traditional species. It has the fundamental imprint of Mahogany, with a strong midrange (albeit more subdued), but with a much wider frequency range at the bottom and top of the spectrum.
